Oct. 29: Ana Cate's overtime goal against rival Alabama lifted the women's soccer to an SEC West division title and head coach Karen Hoppa to her 200th career victory.

Nov. 26: Alabama jumped out to a 24-point lead, but Cam Newton's three touchdown strikes powered the Tigers over the Tide, 28-27. The win propelled Auburn into the SEC Championship, and paved the way for a BCS championship.

Dec. 2: The volleyball team sweeps past Missouri State to advance in the NCAA Tournament.

Dec. 11: Cam Newton joins Pat Sullivan and Bo Jackson as Auburn Tigers to win the Heisman Trophy. He received 2,263 votes, the most for any winner since 2006.

Jan. 10: The Tiger defense holds Oregon nearly 30 points below its season average, and Auburn claims the Bowl Championship Series title in a 22-19 victory.

Feb. 19: The men's swimming team closes out a 17-point advantage on Florida to claim the SEC Championship.

Apr. 16: Maggie McAlary, Grace Socha and Paige Monfore help lead Auburn over Georgia, and to the 2011 national championship in equestrian.

Apr. 17: With a 291 final round, the women's golf team seals the 2011 SEC Championship.
