Camila Jersonsky was named to the AVCA All-Region team on Tuesday.
AUBURN, Ala. - Auburn senior middle blocker Camila Jersonsky added to her postseason volleyball awards list Tuesday as she was named to the All-South Region Team by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
A native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Jersonsky finished her career as Auburn's all-time leader in hitting percentage (.355) with 894 career kills on 1,853 attempts with just 237 errors. She also finished in the top 10 in four career blocking categories - sixth in total blocks (368) and block assists (317), seventh in blocks per set (0.92) and 10th in solo blocks (51).
This season, Jersonsky was second on the team with 302 kills (2.80/set) and a team-leading .352 hitting percentage. She also recorded a team-best 107 blocks (0.99/set) for an average of 3.37 points/set on the year.
Jersonsky was also named to the All-SEC Team and the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year. She is the second player in Auburn volleyball history to earn AVCA regional accolades; Jaunelle Hamilton was an AVCA All-District selection in 1998 and 1999.
