Recapping Last Week
The Auburn volleyball team went 1-1 in its final homestand this past weekend.  The Tigers beat Mississippt State, 3-2 on Friday in Auburn, and dropped a heartbreaking, 3-2 decision to Ole Miss on Senior Day, Sunday.
The Tigers defeated to the Bulldogs, 30-18, 23-30, 33-31, 19-30, 15-12 to split the season-series at one apiece.  Junior Rachel Shanks led the way for AU, recording 18 kills and 13 digs, while sophomore Jessica Glover totaled 17 kills and 11 digs.  Sophomore Joanna Pappas recorded a double-double of her own with 54 assists and 12 digs.
On Sunday, Auburn fell to Ole Miss, 29-31, 30-22, 22-30, 30-23, 18-16 to give the Rebels the season-series, 2-0.  The match was the third-straight five game match for AU.  Shanks once again led the Tigers with 21 kills and 18 digs for her 18th double-double of the season and seventh 20-plus kill effort on the year.

Shanks Chasing History
Shanks heads into the weekend needing just three digs to become Auburn's all-time single-season leader.  She currently sits at 403, two behind Gretchen Thompson's 405 which were accomplished in 1986.  Thompson's total was done over 35 matches, while Shanks should accomplish the record in just 30.
She also has 443 kills and needs just three to crack the top 10 single season marks in school history.

Setting A New Standard
The Tigers' 13 victories so far this season are four more than Auburn had in all of 2005.  The last time AU amassed 13 wins was 2000 when Auburn finished 13-16.  The Tigers' five SEC victories are also the most since the 1999 squad won 11 conference matches.
