    Volleyball Hosts Georgia Wednesday; Match To Be Broadcast By ESPNU

    AUBURN, Ala. - The Auburn volleyball team hosts a mid-week match against Georgia on Wednesday at the Student Activities Center. The 7 p.m. match will be televised live on ESPNU and is Auburn's first televised home match since the 2006 season.

    "Georgia is a very talented team and have the ability to beat us at home," head coach Wade Benson said. "They are going to come here hungry for a win and its going to be a great match."

    UP NEXT
    Auburn (13-5, 4-2 SEC) hits the road for a Friday match against Ole Miss in Oxford, beginning 7 p.m. The Tigers will take advantage of the weekend as the team has Sunday off.

    SCOUTING GEORGIA
    The Georgia Bulldogs enter Wednesday night's match with a 10-6 overall mark and a 2-4 record in the Southeastern Conference. The Bulldogs went 1-1 last weekend in a pair of SEC matches at home. Georgia topped Alabama, 3-1, on Friday, but fell to Mississippi State on Sunday in five sets. The Bulldogs recorded a big win on Sept. 24 as they defeated then-20th ranked Tennessee at home, 3-2.

    Georgia has the fourth-best attack percentage in the league, recording a .249 hitting percentage. The Bulldogs are also fourth with a 13.63 kills-per-set average and with a 2.40 blocks-per-set average. Senior Valentina Gonzalez is second in the conference with a .384 attack percentage, junior setter Kathleen Gates is second in the SEC with a 10.46 assists-per-set average. Junior Ann Dylla is fourth in the league, averaging 1.19 blocks per set and junior libero Carla Tietz is ninth with a 3.24 digs-per-set average.
