March 30, 2012
AUBURN, Ala. - The Auburn volleyball team will continue its spring schedule on Sunday with a day of round-robin competition against a pair of regional foes at the Student Activities Center. Auburn will welcome Florida State and Troy for a day of matches that begins at 11 a.m. Fans are welcome to attend, and there is no charge for admission. Sunday's play begins with three matches consisting of two sets to 25 points. Auburn will face Troy at 11 a.m., followed by Troy vs. Florida State at noon and Auburn vs. Florida State at 1 p.m. After a brief break, the teams will play another round of matches in the same order, beginning at 2 p.m. These matches will be best-of-three with the third set to 15. Auburn is coming off a strong performance last weekend at Ole Miss, where the Tigers won all four matches they played against the Rebels, UT-Martin, Christian Brothers and an Ole Miss alumni team. The Tigers return 10 letter-winners from a team that finished 11-19 overall, 5-15 in SEC play in 2011. Florida State advanced to the Final Four for the first time in school history in 2011, finishing with a 28-7 overall record and winning the ACC title. Troy posted a 16-14 overall record last season and qualified for the Sun Belt tournament for the first time in six years. Auburn Volleyball Spring Matches
