AUBURN - Auburn volleyball signee Stephanie Campbell has added several national honors and awards to her ever-growing list over the last three months.
Campbell, a 6-2 middle blocker from Wildwood, Mo., was ranked as the nation's No. 72 overall prospect when she signed with Auburn in November. Since then, she has been named an All-American by three different organizations.
"We're really proud of Steph and the season she had in high school," Auburn head coach Rick Nold said. "She's obviously shown that she will be a great asset to our program both on and off the court."
At the conclusion of her high school season, Campbell was named a first-team All-American by MaxPreps, then followed that up in January by earning a nod as a first-team Mizuno High School All-American. This week, PrepVolleyball.com named her as a second-team High School Academic All-American.
Campbell helped Lafayette High School, just outside St. Louis, to back-to-back Missouri Class 4A state titles, including a perfect 40-0 record in 2012. Her team was ranked No. 3 nationally by MaxPreps and No. 2 by PrepVolleyball.com.
