Nov. 4, 2010

AUBURN, Ala. -- The Auburn women's tennis team gets set to close out its fall season at the SDSU Fall Tennis Classic II this weekend in San Diego, Calif. The Tigers are set to play singles and doubles matches at the Aztec Tennis Center on San Diego State University's campus.

"We are really excited about this last event of the fall season," head coach Tim Gray said.

After a strong showing at the ITA Regional Tournament, the Tigers are ready to continue their improvement in San Diego this weekend.

"We are a little banged up at the moment, but we will be well represented by Plamena Kurteva, Maria Arechavaleta and Taylor Schreimann," Gray said. "All three have been playing well and are really improving."

Singles play begins Friday, Nov. 5 at 11 a.m. followed by doubles matches.

"It's great to get out on the West Coast, and competing against some different faces," Gray added.
