Oct. 6, 2016

AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn women’s tennis will continue it’s fall slate as three players travel to Nashville, Tennessee on Friday, for the June Stewart Invitational. The Tigers will face off against student-athletes from Vanderbilt, Kentucky, MTSU and Ole Miss.

Alannah Griffin will see her first action of the fall after a strong freshman campaign. The England native finished the 2016 season with 53 combined wins (28 singles, 25 doubles), which is tied for 6th all-time at Auburn in a single season.

Caroline Turner will look to build on her early success after a third place singles finish at the Rice Invitational on September 25th. She will be joined by freshman Georgie Axon. Turner and Axon advanced to the finals of the Rice Invite in doubles and picked up two wins over ranked opponents.

The full squad will be in action at the USTA/ITA Southern Regionals in Tuscaloosa, October 14-17.
