AUBURN, Ala. - The Auburn women’s tennis team starts the 2014-15 this weekend at the University of Miami Fall Invite. The three-day tournament runs Friday through Sunday at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center in Coral Gables, Fla.

“We’re excited to get back on the court and face strong competition at the Miami Fall Invitational,” head coach Lauren Longbotham Meisner said. “Our players are excited to see what is in store for our team this year and I know they’re ready to go.”

The tournament will feature two flights in both the singles and doubles draws. A year ago, Auburn doubles pair Michala Kucharova and Reka Muller finished third at the Miami Fall Invite with a 2-1 record.

Auburn sends the nation’s sixth-ranked doubles pair of Pleun Burgmans and Emily Flickinger to the season-opening tournament. The pair finished with a 27-7 overall record last season en route to earning All-America honors at the NCAA Championships.

The Tigers will bring its entire roster to the three-day tournament, including newcomers Andrea Dikosavljevic and Mary Katherine Lewis.
