BIRMINGHAM – Auburn women’s tennis senior Taylor Schreimann was named to the 2012 SEC Community Service team as announced by the league office on Wednesday.

“I am so proud of Taylor and everything she has been a part of during her time at Auburn,” Auburn head coach Lauren Longbotham Meisner said.  She truly exemplifies the Auburn creed and what it means to be student athlete. Our goal is prepare our student-athletes not only for success on the court, but also to be pillars of the community and Taylor has been able to do that in just four years here.”

During her time at Auburn, Schriemann has worked with the Salvation Army and volunteered at Storybook Farms. She played a key role in Auburn’s effort with the SEC Canned Food Drive.

The senior has also volunteered at many local elementary schools while assisting with Toys for Tots, spending time at the Boys and Girls Club and participating in Rally for the Cure.

A native of Dallas, Texas, Schriemann was also named a community service team member in 2010.
