The No. 28 Auburn women's tennis team (14-6, 4-6) will host the Alabama Crimson Tide (6-13, 2-8) on Saturday, April 12, in the Yarbrough Tennis Center at noon for its final home match of the season.
The Tigers look to earn their fifth conference win of the season. Auburn will look to sophomore Fani Chifchieva, who is 9-1 in SEC action, to extend her win streak in singles play.
Auburn will also look to Alex Haney and Melissa Koning who play in the number one doubles spot to lead the Tigers in the doubles point.
Auburn meets with the Tide coming off a key SEC-East win over the South Carolina Gamecocks. The Tigers prevailed 4-3 when sophomore Jil Hastenrath clinched the match in the five spot.
Following Saturday's match, the Tigers will host the SEC Women's Tennis Championship beginning on April 17. Ticketing and schedule information is available at www.auburntigers.com. Bracket information will be available following the conclusion of all conference matches played on Saturday.
