AUBURN, Ala. --
No. 13 Auburn women’s tennis faces a tough test this weekend when it welcomes two top ten SEC teams to Yarbrough Tennis Center. The Tigers will face off against No. 10 South Carolina on Friday for senior night and No. 8 Florida on Sunday.

The Tigers improved to 19-4 (7-2) with a win over No. 51 Alabama last Friday, tying the most wins in a season under head coach Lauren Spencer. Auburn is 9-4 against ranked opponents this season and the two matches this weekend will make 13 straight against ranked foes.

Senior Pleun Burgmans now has 185 combined wins for her career, tying her with Alex Haney (2005-09). With a win on Friday, Burgmans will become the all-time leader in program history. She became the all-time leader in doubles victories on Feb. 20 against North Florida and now has 101 for her career.

In the latest Oracle/ITA singles rankings, Andie Dikosavljevic moved up to No. 26 after defeating No. 41 Andie Daniell of Alabama last Friday. Alizee Michaud moved up to No. 40 and Burgmans moved up to No. 71.

Auburn’s match against South Carolina will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday. Senior festivities will begin before the match at Yarbrough Tennis Center and admission is free.
