AUBURN – No. 22 Auburn’s women’s tennis continues SEC play this weekend when they host No. 19 Vanderbilt Friday, March 29 at 3 p.m. CT, and No. 47 Kentucky Sunday, March 31 at 11 a.m. CT at the Yarbrough Tennis Center.
The ITA No. 22 ranked Tigers are (14-4, 4-3 SEC) are hoping to return to form after losing two away matches on the weekend, first to No. 49 host South Carolina, 5-0 and then falling to No. 2 Florida, 4-0.
Auburn has a 3-4 record on the road, but is a perfect 11-0 at home.
No. 19 Vanderbilt stands at (11-8, 4-4 SEC) and is coming off a 4-2 loss to No. 28 Tennessee. The Commodores are 5-3 on the road, and 2-5 against nationally ranked opponents.
Vanderbilt is led by ITA No. 61 junior Lauren Mira at the top spot. Mira is 6-5 against nationally ranked opponents.
In doubles, the Commodores' No. 18 team of Mira and Courtney Colton are 3-3 against ranked competition.
No. 47 Kentucky (12-7, 3-5 SEC) is coming off a 7-0 loss to No. 5 Georgia. The Wildcats are led by No. 24 Nadia Ravita at the top spot.
Ravita is 16-3 on the year and 6-2 in conference play. In doubles, Kentucky’s No. 77 tandem of Ravita and Caitlin McGraw are 7-7 on the season and are 1-4 in conference matches.
The Wildcats travel to face Alabama on Friday.
