AUBURN - The 45th-ranked Auburn women's tennis team (7-5, 2-1 SEC) will hit the road for a pair of non-conference matches against No. 46 William & Mary on Saturday at 11 a.m. and No. 62 Marshall on Sunday at 10 a.m. Both matches will be played at the Brian David Fox Tennis Center in Huntington, W.Va.

William & Mary owns a 5-7 record and will arrive in Huntington fresh off a three-match swing along the West Coast. The Tribe went 1-3, picking up a 4-3 win over No. 47 San Diego, but was blanked 7-0 by No. 10 USC and suffered a 5-2 loss to No. 48 Pepperdine. The doubles team of Katarina Zoricic and Ragini Acharya are ranked 38th.

Marshall is coming off of a close 4-3 loss to No. 55 Old Dominion last weekend, to drop to 7-7 on the season. The Thundering Herd is led by senior Kellie Schmitt, ranked 65th in singles play.

Auburn played one-of-two scheduled matches last weekend due to inclement weather. The Tigers match at Mississippi State was cancelled due to rain.

On Sunday against No. 67 Ole Miss, junior Myrthe Molenveld clinched the win for Auburn on court four. Auburn lost the doubles point, but fought back through singles play, winning 4-3. The Tigers were victorious on courts 1, 2, 4 and 6.

In the ITA's March 17 edition of national team rankings, Auburn moved up four spots to 45th. The Tigers also have a pair of ranked singles players in No. 8 Fani Chifchieva and No. 32 Alex Haney. Both players moved up three spots from their previous ranking of No. 11 and 35, respectively. The senior doubles team of Haney and Whitney Chappell made their first appearance of the season in the national rankings, listed at 44th.

Haney has a team-best singles record of 8-2, with all of her matches being played in the No. 2 spot. Whitney Chappell and Fani Chifchieva are both 7-4.
