AUBURN, Ala. - No. 31 Auburn women’s tennis hits the road to begin a four-match road swing, traveling to No. 41 Mississippi State Friday at 4 p.m. CT before taking on No. 16 Ole Miss on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT.

Auburn (11-5, 1-3 SEC) splits its pair of matches last weekend at home. The Tigers earned their first-ever 4-0 sweep of Tennessee last Friday. Auburn took the doubles point against No. 6 Georgia last Sunday, but the Bulldogs picked up four singles wins to claim the match.

Emily Flickinger set the Auburn doubles record for career wins with 88 as the senior teamed with Pleun Burgmans to pick up an 8-7 (6) victory against Georgia at the No. 1 line. The duo is currently ranked No. 6 in the nation by the ITA. Flickinger also ranks fourth in Auburn history with 151 combined wins.

The Tigers have won seven straight meetings against the Bulldogs dating back to 2006. Auburn is 27-14 all-time against Mississippi, picking up a 6-1 win last year over the Bulldogs. Ole Miss leads the all-time series against the Tigers, 26-15, but Auburn got the best of the Rebels a year ago with a 5-2 victory.

Mississippi State (11-3, 2-2 SEC) is led by Georgiana Patrasc’s 9-4 record at the No. 1 spot in singles, while Jennifer Brown is 10-2 in dual matches this year. In doubles, Martina Frantova and Naomi Tran boast a 7-4 dual match record.

Ole Miss (10-3, 2-2 SEC) has three players ranked in singles in the latest ITA release: No. 12 Julia Jones, No. 50 Arianne Hartono and No. 100 Mai El Kamash. Hartono was named the SEC Freshman of the Week after finishing 4-0 last weekend against No. 44 Arkansas and Missouri.
