AUBURN, Ala. - No. 30 Auburn women's tennis hits the road to open SEC play this weekend against No. 42 South Carolina and No. 3 Florida.
The Tigers (10-2) are riding a seven-match winning streak and will begin their conference slate against South Carolina (7-2) at the Carolina Tennis Center Friday at 4 p.m. CT. Auburn will close out the opening weekend of play at Florida (8-1) on Sunday at noon CT at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex.
Auburn is looking to finish the month of February with a flawless record for the second time in the last three seasons. In 2013, the Tigers opened their campaign with a 10-1 record and an undefeated mark in February.
Freshman Andie Dikosavljevic leads the team with a 9-2 dual-match record in singles and brings a seven-match winning streak into conference play. Paula de Man has also won six-straight matches and is a perfect 6-0 this season. Pleun Burgmans is ranked at No. 55 as Auburn begins its SEC slate.
Burgmans and Emily Flickinger continue to sit inside the top-10 of the ITA doubles ranking at No. 8. Flickinger is just one doubles win away from tying the school record in victories with 87.
Auburn snapped a three-match losing skid to South Carolina with a dominating 4-1 win over the Gamecocks at the Yarbrough Tennis Center a year ago. The Tigers are looking to earn their first-ever win against Florida in Sunday's contest.
