The No. 27 Auburn women's tennis team (2-1, 0-0 SEC) will travel to Washington, D.C., and College Park, Md., on Feb. 2, and Feb.3, to face Georgetown and Maryland in its first road meets of 2008.
The Tigers take on the Hoyas Saturday at 4:30 p.m. CT. Auburn will face the Terrapins Sunday at 9 a.m. CT.
This weekend will mark Auburn's first match-up against both Georgetown and Maryland in the program's history. Georgetown is 1-1 so far this season with a win over Cincinnati, 5-2, and a loss, 7-0, to Syracuse. The Terrapins will begin their season on Feb. 2, versus Dartmouth.
Auburn takes on the Hoyas and the Terrapins after winning a double header at home over Mercer and Alabama A&M. Auburn blanked the Bears and the Bulldogs 7-0.
Auburn will return to the Yarbrough Tennis Center on Feb. 12, to face Georgia State at 3 p.m. CT. All home matches are open to the public and admission is free. Live stats for home matches are available at www.auburntigers.com.
