AUBURN, Ala. - No. 28 Auburn women’s tennis is scheduled to play a pair of dual matches Saturday in Lubbock, Texas, when they face No. 29 Texas Tech and Wyoming.
Auburn (3-1) enters play after splitting a pair of matches at the ITA Kick-Off Weekend in Athens Ga. The Tigers dropped No. 62 Wake Forest, 4-0, last Saturday before falling to No. 10 Georgia on Sunday, 4-0, in the championship final.
Texas Tech (1-1) will face Auburn at 1 p.m. indoors at the Lubbock Country Club and the Tigers will wrap up play Saturday afternoon against Wyoming (2-0).
The Red Raiders opened their dual match season last weekend, falling 4-2 to No. 19 Oklahoma State before topping No. 38 Columbia, 4-1. Wyoming is 2-0 this season with wins over Oral Roberts and Northern Colorado.
Auburn’s third-ranked doubles pair of Pleun Burgmans and Emily Flickinger lead the way with a 13-4 overall record. Burgmans is also 8-4 this year in singles, while Andie Dikosavljevic boasts a 7-5 overall record.
