Waco, Texas - The Auburn women's tennis team opens up the 2013 spring season on Friday at the HEB Invitational hosted by Baylor University at the Baylor Tennis Center.
"We are excited to go on the road and start the season. We've had some great days of practice and the girls are ready for competition. This is going to be a great test run for us to prepare for the ITA Regional indoor round at UNC. We are anxious to see how the girls perform. Playing three days in a row is going to be a tough challenge, both physically and mentally, but we think they are up for it."
Action begins on Friday and continues through the weekend.
Joining the 69th ranked Tigers at the event are host No. 15 Baylor, No. 59 Stephen F. Austin and Houston. Auburn will face SFA in doubles at 10 a.m. CT on Friday before facing Houston in singles action at 1:30 p.m. CT.
