AUBURN, Ala. -After a strong run the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships in the fall, sophomore Andie Dikosavljevic begins the spring ranked No. 30 in the ITA preseason rankings.
Dikosavljevic finished the fall with an 8-5 record including a trip to Flushing Meadows, N.Y. for the National Indoor Intercollegiate Championship after winning the USTA/ITA Southern Regional in singles.
In doubles, senior duo Pleun Burgmans and Paula de Man will begin the season ranked No. 30. During the fall, Burgmans and de Man finished with a 2-2 record including a first round win in the Riviera/ITA Women’s All-American.
Auburn finished last season with a 16-14 record and ranked No. 46 in the final release. Auburn women’s tennis will try for its fourth straight NCAA tournament appearance.
Auburn opens it’s season on Saturday, January 16 against UAB at Yarbrough Tennis Center. The match starts at 12 p.m. Admission is free to all home Auburn tennis matches.
