AUBURN, Ala. -- On the second day of the SEC Fall Coaches' Classic the Auburn women's tennis team continued to show excellent promise for the season to come. The Tigers won one singles and two doubles matches Saturday at the Yarborough Tennis Center in Auburn.

To complete the weekend's doubles play, Paulina Schippers and Emily Newton downed a pair from Mississippi State 8-5. The teams other double win came from junior Taylor Schreimann and sophomore Plamena Kurteva. The duo defeated Kentucky's Nicole Scates and Meredith Morrow 8-1.

In the east bracket final round, Auburn's Olivia Bennett and Jacqueline Kasler fell to an Arkansas twosome 8-3.

Schippers defeated Arkansas' Jade Frampton 6-1 and 6-3 to move to the flight 4A final round. Schippers will face Lauren Mira of Vanderbilt Sunday.

In other singles matches Kurtava fell to Arkansas' Claudine Paulson in the semi-final round, and is set to face Misha Testerman from Kentucky in a consolation match.

The final matches of the SEC Fall Coaches' Classic will begin Sunday at 8:30 a.m. Auburn's Olivia Bennett, Emily Newton and Caroline Thornton are set to play in singles consolation matches, while Kasler will play against teammate Maria Arechavaleta.
