AUBURN, Ala. --
Auburn women's tennis completed the weekend sweep with a 4-1 victory over No. 39 Ole Miss. Auburn improves to 18-4 (6-2 SEC) on the season.

"I am very proud of how our doubles played today," said Auburn head coach Lauren Spencer. "We really came out early and took care of business against a tough Ole Miss team. In singles, it was good to see our girls come out quick to take a little pressure off the rest of the team."

Auburn jumped out to a 1-0 lead after clinching the doubles point against Ole Miss. After dropping their first doubles match of the season against Mississippi State, Alizee Michaud and Pleun Burgmans defeated the Rebels' No. 26 Arianne Hartono and Mai El Kamash, 6-3.

Caroline Turner and Paula de Man clinched the doubles point for Auburn with a 6-4 victory over Natalie Suk and Tea Jandric of Ole Miss.

de Man got things started in singles with a 6-1, 6-1 win against Marija Milutinovic on court five. She was followed by Dikosavljevic who defeated No. 98 Mai El Kamash 6-2, 6-4 on court two.

"I was especially proud of how Andie played today," said Spencer. "She has had a tough couple of weeks, but she really came out and played her best tennis. I look forward to seeing her continued improvement the rest of the season."

Burgmans clinched the match with a 6-1, 6-3 win against No. 119 Tea Jandric on court three. With that win, Burgmans now has 184 combined wins in singles (83) and doubles (101), putting her two wins away from becoming the all-time leader in program history.

Auburn women's tennis will return home next Friday, March 26 to host No. 48 Alabama at 5 p.m. The match will be played at Yarbrough Tennis Center and admission is free.
