Troy, Ala. -
The Auburn women's tennis team (6-2, 0-0 SEC) ended its two-match road trip with a win 7-0, over the Troy University Trojans. The victory is AU's fifth shut-out win of the season.
"This was a very good effort today," said Auburn head coach Tim Gray. "I must give Troy a lot of credit as they came out very fired up and played with a lot of determination. We showed that we would not be intimidated and stepped up at every position. It was especially hard after such an emotional and physical match with FSU, but the team did a tremendous job of bouncing back and doing what was necessary to get the win. This will definitely help us down the road."
