Freshman Jil Hastenrath picked up her second singles victory in as many days, as the No. 75 Auburn Tigers finished day two of the FIU Spring Invitational on Saturday.
In singles play, redshirt freshman Fani Chifchieva fell to Audrey Banada of Miami, 6-2, 1-6, 7-6(4) in flight one. Sophomore Alex Haney dropped her match to Romy Farah, 6-4, 6-3 in flight two. In flight three, sophomore Whitney Chappell fell, 6-2, 3-6, 6-2 to Caren Seenauth. Freshman Melissa Koning also fell in her match, 6-1, 6-4 to Gina Sabatino. Freshman Jil Hastenrath picked up the lone singles win, as she won her match in flight five over Claudia Wasilewski, 6-4, 6-0. In flight six, sophomore Kelly Adams lost to Emily Mowery, 6-3, 6-2.
On the doubles side, Haney/Hastenrath fell to Zabala/Fountain in a heartbreaker, 9-8(5) in flight one. Chifchieva/Koning picked up their first win together with a default win, while Chappell/Adams lost their flight three match to Castillo/Cutuk, 8-4.
The Tigers will wrap up play at the FIU Spring Invitational on Sunday. AU will face South Florida in singles at , then face Miami's doubles teams at
