Tigers Make Strides During First Fall Season Under Myers

Oct. 28, 2013

AUBURN, Ala. - With their first fall softball season behind them, the Auburn softball team came away with more than just eight wins and no losses. The team and coaching staff believes they accomplished what needed to be done this fall, but that there is still plenty of work do come spring season.

Auburn tallied an undefeated 2013 fall season with double-header wins over Wallace State Community College, Southern Union, Northwest Florida State College and Gulf Coast State College. In the team's final four games, the pitching staff was especially spot-on, pitching four-straight shutouts.

Even with the brand-new dimensions to Jane B. Moore Field, the Auburn offense was still able to put up 10 or more runs in six of the eight fall games.

Head coach Clint Myers along with pitcher Lexi Davis and outfielder Morgan Estell talked last week after their final fall game about what they feel they accomplished this fall season and what they have to look forward to in the 2014 season.
