Family Fun Day Allows Fans to Get Head Start on Auburn Softball Tickets

Sept. 26, 2013

AUBURN, Ala. – Fans looking to get a head start on purchasing their 2014 Auburn softball tickets can do so at this year’s Auburn Softball Family Fun Day event Sunday, Oct. 13.

With the first fall softball game for new head coach Clint Myers occurring on Thursday, Oct. 10 against Wallace State, Family Fun Day will give fans a chance to get a closer look at this year’s team and coaching staff while enjoying a fun-filled afternoon at Jane B. Moore Field.

Fans wishing to get a leg up on purchasing their tickets for the 2014 season will be able to select seats and purchase season tickets throughout Family Fun Day.

As part of the festivities, fans will be able to watch the softball team conduct a short exhibition after Coach Myers addresses the crowd. Auburn celebrities will then compete amongst each other in a “Battle of the Bats” competition. This competition will be very much like a home run derby and will give fans a good look at the new dimensions of Jane B. Moore Field

At the conclusion of the “Battle of the Bats” competition, the field will be cleared and opened to the crowd for kids’ games. Games include a third-to-home relay race, a dizzy bat race, water balloon toss, whiffle ball off a tee, radar gun toss and a race to see who can put on catcher’s gear the fastest. Kids will get a scorecard so they can keep up with their results and also get autographs from the team as they go. Prizes will be given out at the conclusion of all the stations.

Admission to the event is free and starts at 12:30 p.m. There will also be free hotdogs, soda, popcorn and snow cones to those in attendance and the first 250 guests will receive a free pink mini bat. There will also be inflatable games, face painters and balloon animals for the children in attendance.

Season ticket packages range from $100 dollars for reserved seats to $60 for general admission. There will also be mini tickets packages for sale ranging from $36 for reserved seats to $24 for general admission. Single-game tickets will not go on sale until Jan. 6. Those season ticket packages and mini packs that are not sold at Family Fun Day will go on sale to the public on Monday, Oct. 14 in the Auburn Ticket Office.
