2013 Camp Waiver
AUBURN, Ala. - The Auburn softball program will host five camps in the months of September and October, head coach Clint Myers announced. All camps will take place at Jane B. Moore Field and full details are available at http://collegesoftballcamps.com/ausoftball. All but one camp will be for kids ages 10-18, while one camp will be for high schoolers only. Players at all camps will receive instruction and go through drills with the Auburn coaching staff.
September 21-22: Auburn Softball All Skills Camp (10 a.m.-2 p.m.) ($160)
This camp will feature drills and instructions on all facets of the game from the Auburn coaching staff over two consecutive days. Campers are asked to bring their own equipment as needed such as: tennis shoes or turf shoes, cleats, glove, bat, batting gloves, helmet and water bottle. The cost of this camp is $160 and will start each day at 10 a.m. and run through 2 p.m.
September 23 & 30: Hitting (High school players only) (6:30-8:30 p.m.) ($75)
This camp is for high school players only and will work solely on the hitting aspect of softball. The camp will consist of only two days (Sept. 23 & 30) starting at 6:30 p.m. and run until 8:30 p.m. at the Jane B. Moore Softball Field. Cost of the camp is $75 and all campers are asked to bring their own equipment. Camp check-in takes place 30 minutes prior to the start of the first session and 15 minutes prior to the second session.
September 28: Auburn Softball Pitching Camp (10 a.m.-12 p.m.) ($40)
This one day camp allows kids, ages 10-18, work on their pitching skills. All campers are asked to bring their own equipment and also provide their own catcher. It can be a parent, teammate or friend. The required paperwork for whoever catches for you (voluntary waiver form and insurance information) can be found on the Auburn Camps website at http://www.auburntigers.com/camps/. The cost of the camp is $40 and check-in will take place 30 minutes prior to the start at Jane B. Moore Field at Auburn University. The camp will run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
September 28: Auburn Softball Catching Camp (12:30-2 p.m.) ($50)
This one day camp will coincide with the Auburn Pitching Camp and give kids, ages 10-18, to work on the aspects of catching starting at 12:30 p.m. and ending at 2 p.m. All campers are asked to bring their own equipment. Check-in is scheduled to start 30 minutes prior to the start of camp and the cost is $50.
October 7 & 14: Hitting (6:30-8:30 p.m.) ($75)
The final camp of the fall season will be on hitting. This camp will be much like the high school only camp in late September only this camp is open to all kids ages 10-18. The camp consists of only two days' work (Oct. 7 & 14) and the cost is $75. All campers are asked to bring their own equipment with check-in starting 30 minutes prior to the start. Each day the camp will run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Please note, ALL campers planning to attend ANY camp are required to provide the appropriate paperwork in advance or at check-in the day of camp. These forms include signed parental waivers, medical release containing a doctor's signature, and a copy of your insurance card. The camps are open on a first-come, first-serve basis to any individual who satisfies the age, grade level and/or gender requirements set forth in the registration materials.
