Auburn, Ala. - The Auburn softball team will host the Arkansas Razorbacks in a three-game series this weekend at Jane B. Moore Field, beginning with the series opener Friday at 6 p.m. CT.

The Tigers and Razorbacks will play game two of the series Saturday at 1 p.m. CT and will then play the series finale Sunday at noon CT. Sunday's game will be televised by Fox Sports South/SportSouth.

"Arkansas has a pair of lefty pitchers and we haven't seen very many of them this year," Auburn head coach Tina Deese said. "The last time we saw a lefty was against No. 14 UCLA and we did pretty well, but that was back in early March. Arkansas is fighting for a spot in the SEC Tournament just like we are and I'm sure they are going to bring a lot energy every single inning."

Auburn goes into the series with a 26-18 overall record and a 5-14 mark in the Southeastern Conference. Arkansas is 23-19 overall and 4-15 in the SEC. The Tigers currently hold the eighth and final spot for the SEC Tournament, with the Razorbacks one game back in ninth place.

The Tigers are coming off a series sweep at the hands of No. 3 Florida in Gainesville last weekend. Although the Tigers were swept, Auburn brought the tying or go-ahead run to the plate in the seventh inning of all three games.

Junior first baseman Caitlin Jordan paced the Tigers offensively in Gainesville, hitting .375 with two home runs, a triple and two RBI.

Senior shortstop Lauren Guzman goes into the weekend with a chance to break the Auburn record for consecutive games started. Guzman has started every game on the schedule since arriving to Auburn as a freshman in 2009, a streak of 219 games. Ashley Griffin holds the record at 221 games.
