Auburn, Ala. - The Auburn softball team travels to Gainesville for a weekend series against the third-ranked Florida Gators.

Game one of the series is set for Friday at 5 p.m. CT, while Saturday and Sunday's games begin at noon CT.

Auburn goes into the weekend with a 26-15 overall record and a 5-11 record in the Southeastern Conference. The No. 3 Gators are 35-5 overall and 15-2 in the SEC.

"The Gators are good," Auburn head coach Tina Deese said. "They have a potent offense, they put runs on the board. They have reloaded from last year. Their pitching is very good. Our team has a lot of fight in them and they are ready to go down there and get after it."

Auburn is going into the final three games of an 18 game stretch featuring 11 games against top 10 teams. The 18-game stretch began March 16 with a three game series at then No. 8 Georgia and concludes against the No. 3 Gators this weekend. Auburn has also played No. 2 Alabama and No. 10 Tennessee in that span.

The Tigers are currently third in the SEC Western Division and seventh overall in the SEC. Auburn will play three of the four teams they currently lead in the conference standings in the final four weeks of the season.

Senior shortstop Lauren Guzman has started 216 consecutive games, which is tied for the second longest streak in Auburn history. Guzman's start in game three against Tennessee on April 8, tied her with Sara Dean who started 216 straight games from March 24, 2002 to May 21, 2005. Guzman has started every game on the Tigers' schedule since coming to Auburn in 2009. Guzman trails Ashley Griffin (2003-06) who holds the record with 221 consecutive games started from Feb. 25, 2003, to May 20, 2006.

Guzman is 12th in the SEC with a .366 batting average and is tied for third in the conference with 49 hits.
