The 20th-ranked Auburn softball team opens a three game series with the seventh-ranked Georgia Bulldogs Friday at 5:30 p.m. CT in Athens.
Auburn goes into the series with a 22-4 overall record and a 1-1 record in Southeastern Conference play. Auburn split a midweek doubleheader at LSU, losing game one 4-1 but rebounding to take game two 2-0.
Senior catcher Elizabeth Eisterhold has paced Auburn's offense over the last seven games. Eisterhold is hitting .524 (11-for-21) with four home runs, 13 RBI, one double and eight runs scored in that span.
Senior pitcher Angel Bunner improved to 9-0 with a complete-game win in game two vs. LSU. Bunner tossed her fifth shutout and third one-hitter of the season in the win.
Georgia is 21-4 overall and 2-1 in the SEC. The Bulldogs are coming off a midweek 2-0 loss to in-state rival Georgia Tech.
