SAN DIEGO – The Auburn softball team’s game Sunday against Long Beach State was cancelled due to rain.

Inclement weather hit the San Diego area Saturday night, but the Tigers played through the rain to down tournament host San Diego State, 1-0. However, the rain continued prompting the cancellation of last night’s game against No. 4 Washington.

The downpour continued throughout the night, prompting the cancellation of the tournament’s final games.

Auburn went 2-1 in the Campbell/Cartier Classic with the lone loss coming at the hands of tournament champ Cal State-Northridge. The Tigers beat defending tournament champion Sacramento State, 6-2, on Friday night.

Auburn returns to action on Tuesday at Jane B. Moore field when it hosts Samford at 6 p.m.
