Auburn softball team falls hard twice at Georgia

The No. 23/23 Auburn softball team dropped both games of its double-header with No. 13/17 Georgia Saturday afternoon, 11-2 in five innings in game one and 8-4 in game two. The losses are the team's eighth and ninth in its last 10 games and is its ninth-straight conference loss.

Softball game at Georgia rained out, rescheduled

A large area of rain has moved into the Athens, Ga., area this morning and forced the rescheduling of today's softball game between No. 23 Auburn and No. 13 Georgia. Both teams will play a double-header on Saturday starting at 1 p.m. CST at Jack Turner Stadium in Athens, Ga.

Tigers Look To Take Momentum Into Road Series With Georgia

The No. 23/23 Auburn Tiger softball team is back on the road this weekend to face the No. 13/17 Georgia Bulldogs at Jack Turner Stadium in Athens, Ga., for a three-game conference series. The Tigers are coming off a huge 6-2 win over in-state rival No. 6 Alabama in Montgomery, Ala., on Wednesday and are looking to break a seven-game conference losing streak.

Kasey Cooper finalist for NFCA Freshman of the Year

Freshman third baseman Kasey Cooper has been named a Top 25 Finalist for the National Fastpitch Coaches' Association's inaugural Division I National Freshman of the Year Award. The award will be presented prior to the start of the 2014 NCAA Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City, Okla.
