AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn soccer program will host a new camp this winter, a “Winter ID” camp in January, head coach Karen Hoppa announced today. The camp will take place at the AU Soccer Complex on Jan. 18 and full details are available at AuburnSoccerCamp.com.
The camp will be for girls grades 8th-12th and will offer all participants a challenging, but learning experience. The one day camp is a great opportunity for any soccer player looking to play at the next level.
The Auburn University coaches will run high level training sessions in the morning and the afternoon and the camp will end with competitive 11v11 games. All sessions will be conducted on the Auburn University game field. Those interested in working on their goalkeeping skills will also receive specialized training by the AU coaches.
During the day-long session, the staff will also conduct a short Q&A where they will discuss the recruiting process and answer general questions about NCAA rules.
The camp is scheduled to last from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Jan. 18. and will cost $125. Those who sign up will receive a free t-shirt and lunch during the day. Campers are asked to bring a soccer ball, unless you are purchasing one, their cleats and shinguards.
