Sarah Steinmann Named to SEC Good Works Team

AUBURN - Auburn senior Sarah Steinmann has been named to the Southeastern Conference Good Works Team as announced Tuesday by the SEC office. The Good Works Team looks to highlight athletes who give back to their community in superior service efforts.
Steinmann, a native of Lilburn, Ga., has consistently served her community throughout her career at Auburn. The education major has spent time on a mission trip in Brazil aiding underprivileged children and ministering to professional soccer teams.
In addition to giving free soccer lessons to numerous children, she has helped raise money for the Red Cross. Steinmann is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, a Young Life Leader and serves as the leader of Auburn's team Bible study.
Along with Steinmann's outstanding leadership off the field, she has become one of Auburn's best-ever on the field as well. During her four seasons, Steinmann has become Auburn's career leader in game-winning goals and was the SEC Player of the Year in 2002.
