Seniors Katy Frierson and Julie King are ranked second and ninth, respectively, in the latest TopDrawerSoccer.com list of top 20 players in the Southeastern Conference.
The rankings break down every conference into the top 20 players in each. Frierson was earlier ranked as the No. 27 upperclassman in the country while King was No. 47.
A midfielder, Frierson leads the SEC and is tied for third nationally with 11 assists. She has also scored five goals on the season for 21 total points, which is ninth in the SEC. Over her four-year career, in which she has started 81 games, she has 94 career points, 80 of which have come in Auburn wins, on 27 goals and a school-record 40 assists.
A defender, King has four goals and four assists this season while starting every match. Of her four goals this season, two have been game-winners, including her goal in the 4-1 win over Kentucky and her goal in the 4-2 win at Samford. Playing all but 14 minutes this season, she has started 79 matches in her career, which is tied for 10th all-time at Auburn.
Auburn stands at 11-4-1, 5-3-0 SEC with three regular-season matches remaining. The final stretch begins on Thursday night at 7pm when Auburn plays host to Georgia at the AU Soccer Complex.
