The Auburn soccer team will hit the road for its first conference test of the year as the Tigers travel to Kentucky and Vanderbilt this weekend. The Tigers and Wildcats will square off in Lexington at 6:30 p.m. CT on Friday night before heading to Nashville for a 2 p.m. tilt against the Commodores on Sunday.
Auburn (6-3-0, 0-2-0 SEC) is coming off of back-to-back losses for the first time this season and enters the weekend in search of its first conference win after falling to No. 18 Florida and South Carolina at the AU Soccer Complex last weekend.
Kentucky (5-4-1, 0-1-0 SEC) always plays the Tigers tough in Lexington, owning a 3-2 advantage in the series in the Bluegrass but it has been the Tigers who have won three straight over their foe from the SEC East, including a victory over UK in the semifinals of the SEC Tournament last season.
Vanderbilt (5-1-4, 1-0-1 SEC) has been on a roll since playing in the Auburn Classic earlier in the year, going undefeated in its last six matches with four wins. The Commodores will host Alabama on Friday night before facing the Tigers on Sunday.
