The No. 21-ranked Auburn soccer team will put its three-match unbeaten streak to the test in California this weekend as it faces Southern Cal and Cal State Fullerton in Los Angeles.

Auburn is coming off of a 3-2, double-overtime upset of then-No. 5 Florida State and a 3-0 blanking of Western Carolina last weekend to improve to 4-1-0 and make its debut in the top-25 polls. Led by junior midfielder Katy Frierson, who was named the NSCAA National Player of the Week, the SEC Offensive Player of the Week and a CollegeSoccer360.com Primetime Performer, Auburn has outscored its opponents 12-6 over the first five matches.

Auburn has never faced Southern Cal (2-1-2) before and will be looking for its first win over a Pac-10 team in program history while it will try to even its record against Cal State Fullerton (2-2-0) after CSF claimed a 2-1 double-overtime victory in Auburn in 2005.

"This is a big weekend for us," Auburn Head Coach Karen Hoppa said. "The west coast typically has some of the best college soccer in the country. We were very excited to add this trip to our schedule. USC is going to be a good possession team, they have a handful of National Team players, a couple of which I have coached, and they will be very dynamic in their attack and very dangerous that way. Fullerton is also a good possession team and just came off of a win over No. 18 UNC Greensboro last weekend so they will be a very quality opponent as well."

Both matches will be played at Southern Cal's McAlister Field as part of the Trojan Invitational, which also features Northern Arizona. Match times are 5:30pm CT on Friday for the match against Southern Cal and 1pm on Sunday against Cal State Fullerton.
