AUBURN, Ala. -- After an impressive 3-0 victory on the road against LSU, the Auburn soccer team returns home on Sunday to take on the West Florida Argonauts at 1 p.m.
Auburn has dominated during the spring, outscoring its opponents 11-0.
The match with the Argonauts will be the first matchup between the programs since 1993, with Auburn leading the head-to-head series 1-0-1.
Auburn head coach Karen Hoppa believes that the team still has some things to improve on, but is pleased with the way her team has played.
"We are coming off a great performance against LSU, so our challenge this weekend is to build on what we did well last game," Hoppa said. "We still need to be better in possession and create more quality goal-scoring chances. West Florida is a very good, well-coached team so we are looking forward to a good game.”
The Tigers have had seven players on the scoring sheet during the spring campaign, and the Auburn goalkeepers have not given up a goal in the first three matches.
