BATON ROUGE, La. - The Auburn soccer team looks to keep its perfect spring record intact as it travels to take on the LSU Tigers in Baton Rouge for the first spring match between the two programs since 2010.
Auburn is 2-0 in its spring exhibition games, defeating Jacksonville State 3-0 and Tennessee Tech 5-0.
The two programs last met in the 2013 SEC Tournament, which Auburn won 1-0 on an overtime penalty kick by Bianca Sierra.
Auburn head coach Karen Hoppa is excited about the first spring matchup with an SEC opponent.
“LSU is a great team and we are excited for the challenge that they will present this weekend,” Hoppa said. “Our team has been working really hard this spring so we are looking forward to seeing how we measure up to such a quality SEC team.”
Auburn’s Brooke Ramsier continues to lead the Tigers with three goals on the spring season. The Auburn goalkeepers have also combined for two shutouts.
