Overall thoughts on today's game...
"I thought it was a really good game. I thought both teams were excellent. Congratulations to Maryland for advancing. I thought they were an excellent team and they scored a great goal. That goal was the difference in the game. We didn't finish our opportunities and we certainly had them. They did. That's the difference at this time of the year."
On the wind...
"I don't think it made a difference in the outcome of the game, as we both had it for a half. I thought our soccer was maybe a little better against the wind because we had to play it on the ground. It just made it a little harder defensively.
"It's always hard when you end on a loss to think about all the good we did this year. What an overall great season. We were nationally ranked most of the year. We won the SEC tournament championship. That was the first time ever for Auburn and the first time ever for a west team. This team will go down in history. I'm really, really proud of them. For our four seniors, it's really heart-breaking. They went to four NCAA tournaments, and they won the SEC tournament this year. I anticipate Katie Frierson and Julie King will have a future in soccer at the next level and we look forward to following them."
Julie King (Senior, D/F)
On the wind...
"You never want the weather to affect the soccer, which it unfortunately did, but we both had to deal with it. I don't think it was the reason they won or we lost. I would've rather played with no wind, but that's the way it goes. You have to deal with what you get."
Reflecting on senior season...
"Unfortunately, I wish we could've kept playing more games, but this team is really special. Winning the SEC tournament was awesome. It's hard to think about it now, but this team made history. This is a special group of girls and coaches. I wouldn't take back anything from my career. If I had to pick a college to play soccer at again, I would choose Auburn, no doubt about it."
