AUBURN, Ala. - The Auburn soccer team closed out its spring exhibition season with a 2-1 win over SEC foe LSU at the Orange Beach Soccer Complex on Saturday night. The win capped off a spring schedule that saw Auburn go 4-0-1 against other NCAA teams, allowing just one goal.

Auburn found itself down 1-0 early when LSU scored off of a set piece just outside the 18, playing the ball past the Auburn wall to an open player in the box who pushed it past Auburn goalkeeper Amy Howard.

Julie King's goal tied the match at 1-1 as she finished off a Christine Schweer assists. Schweer served a free kick into the box from 55 yards out, finding a slashing King on the run, who headed in the equalizer.

Mary Coffed's unassisted goal was the game-winner for Auburn as she hit a line drive to the near post, skipping it past the keeper to go directly in.

Caitlin Torie saw her first action of the spring in the match, playing the entire second half without allowing a goal.

Auburn defeated Mercer, Tennessee and UAB by 1-0 scores, downed LSU 2-1 and tied UCF 0-0 to go undefeated against other NCAA teams this spring. It also gained valuable experience in 3-2 losses to the Atlanta Beat of the WPS and the Mexican National Team that should carry over into the fall.
