Chris Cahill is in his first year as the Volunteer Assistant Coach on Karen Hoppa's staff. A graduate of Georgia Southern University, where he was a defender from 2004-06, this is his second year as part of the Auburn staff as he was a graduate assistant for the 2009 season.
Currently assisting in all facets of the soccer program, including the team's social media outlet off the field and coaching on the field, he spent two years (2008-09) as the assistant men's varsity soccer coach at Harrison High School in Kennesaw, Ga., before coming to Auburn.
At Harrison, Cahill implemented practice and game plans, assisted in the coaching and conditioning of student-athletes and oversaw the camp staff and the development of camp curriculum. Harrison was ranked No. 1 in the country from 12 weeks during the 2008 season, winning the 2008 Regional Championship, and again repeating that in 2009. Nine of the players were named All-County and six accepted Division I scholarships as the team went 28-4, 17-1 in Region play.
Cahill holds a National Diploma from NSCAA (USSF "C" Equivalent) and is a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
