Gymnastics to Hold Final Intrasquad Friday

AUBURN - The 2009 Auburn gymnastics team will have its final intrasquad of the year Friday at 11:30 a.m. in the McWhorter Center. The intrasquad meet is open to the public and is free of charge. "It's important for the gymnasts to come in on Friday with confidence, hit their routines and get a score and evaluation from the judges," associate head coach Rachelle Thompson said. Fans will be able to walk throughout the gym as the Tigers compete on each event. Friday's intrasquad will serve as the final tune up before the season opener at Illinois-Chicago on Jan. 4. The Tigers return to Auburn for the home opener on Jan. 9, against Alabama in Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum at 7 p.m.
