AUBURN - Five Auburn gymnastics meets will air on television in 2014, including four meets in Auburn Arena, the Southeastern Conference announced on Wednesday. Overall, networks will broadcast 21 SEC gymnastics meets this season, in addition to the SEC Championship. All meets will be broadcast on a delayed basis.
"I think this year will be a phenomenal chance to get to show our fan base and our beautiful arena to the rest of country," Auburn gymnastics head coach Jeff Graba said. "I'm really excited. I'm not surprised, because of match ups, but having four of our five home meets televised is a big deal. When you factor in the SEC Championship on ESPNU that makes six times. It's going to be a lot of fun."
Auburn's SEC opener will be its first televised action of the season when it welcomes reigning NCAA Champions Florida to Auburn Arena on January 17. The meet will air on January 23 at 5:30 pm on ESPNU, then again on January 26 at 5 p.m. on ESPN2.
A week later, the Tigers' road trip to LSU will be featured on Fox Sports Net's coverage of SEC gymnastics. The meet will air at a time still to be announced on FSN.
Auburn's last three TV meets will air throughout the southeast on CSS. Home meets with Alabama (2/18 - TBA) and Georgia (2/25 - TBA) will be shown on the regional network. Additionally, Auburn's final home meet of the season with Missouri will be televised by the network on March 11.
In addition to regular season action, fans can watch the SEC Championship on ESPNU and ESPN. Fans will also be able to access the ESPN and ESPN2 telecasts through their mobile devices on WatchESPN.
