Sept. 25, 2007
In the month of September, we learned the real meaning of preseason.
It was a pretty intense month for us freshmen since most of us had never
done this type of conditioning before in our lives! The upperclassmen
were so supportive and encouraging that it helped us out a lot.
Afterwards though, it's kind of rewarding knowing that you pushed
yourself through it.
We met our five future teammates this month, and
seriously we couldn't have asked for better recruits. We pretty much
ate awesome food the entire weekend, then headed to the game on Saturday
night. Throughout the whole weekend, they were polite and so fun to
talk to. It was sad to see them go.
The last week of September was parent's week. Though we've grown to learn how to be on our own, it was
nice to spend the weekend with our families. It was refreshing and gave
us the reassurance to know how proud they are of us. Having them here
made us realize how far we've come and how much more is still to come.
This month was hard, but we have an awesome support system that helped
us get through it, and I couldn't ask for anything better than that.
