We finally made it to Auburn after our all day adventure in cars and on planes. We were so eager to move into our dorms at last and be able to live on our own. The first couple days were very hectic; we needed to buy many things since we are from up north. We started to notice how things were very different down in the south. The temperature change was extreme. We went from low 90's to 105º almost every day. Also everyone has different accents and their own personal dialogue from back home. By the end of the first weekend we were finally all settled in and getting used to the Auburn life. Our families left to go back home and we were on our way to new adventures.
"Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end." We went through a lot of endings and beginnings during our first three weeks here. We both left our close friends and teammates who we spent almost everyday with, as well as our parents, brothers and sisters, but now we have a whole new family. Being on the gymnastics team gives you a sense of closeness and that family feeling that many people lose when they go off to college. We now have a bunch of new sisters that look out for us and help us to be the best that we can be every day. We don't think of what we lost but what we gained. We have the opportunity to be on a great team and do something that we love and at the same time get a wonderful education.
