GAINESVILLE, Fla. - No. 12 Auburn gymnastics will compete for a spot at the 2013 NCAA Gymnastics Championship at the NCAA Gainesville Regional on Saturday at 5 p.m. CT in the O'Connell Center.

Also competing on Saturday in Gainesville will be the host No. 1 Florida, No. 12 Minnesota, No. 24 Maryland, Pittsburgh and Bridgeport. The top two finishers at the meet will advance to the 2013 NCAA Gymnastics at Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles on April 19.

Last season, the Tigers hosted a regional in Auburn Arena. Auburn finished fourth with a total score of 196.100, the second-highest total in program history at a regional meet.

Saturday's Regional meet will be the second visit by the Tigers to the O'Connell Center in 2013. Auburn posted a score of 196.025 in the O'Connell Center on January 25 in a dual-meet loss to Florida.

The regional berth is the 11th-consecutive and 24th all-time for Auburn. The Tigers posted a program-best regional score in 2003 with a 196.350 in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
