No. 15 Auburn Gymnastics Participates in Warm-up Day, Rotation Draw
March 26, 2010
JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- After arriving in Jacksonville Thursday night following a nearly seven-hour bus trip from Auburn, the No. 15 Auburn gymnastics team participated in the 2010 SEC Championship Warm-up day Friday at Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The Tigers, practicing on all-four disciplines for nearly an hour-and-a-half, shared the floor with the likes of Florida, Alabama, and Arkansas. At the conclusion of the practice session, at approximately 3 p.m., the SEC conducted the rotation draw. Senior Krissy Voss, elected by head coach Jeff Thompson, drew second, selecting bye-bars-beam-bye-floor-bye-vault, a scenario familiar to the Tigers having started on bars the majority of the season. "This is a familiar draw for us. We're excited, and we're trained for this draw and we're ready to go," said head coach Jeff Thompson. "We had a great workout today, and have positive momentum going into tomorrow." The meet is slated to begin at 3:05 p.m. CT from Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena. Live stats can be accessed via SECsports.com, as well as ProScorePlus on Twitter. Tickets are still available, and cost $13 for adults and $8 for children, and can be purchased via TicketMaster.com. A two-hour highlight show will air on a tape-delay basis on ESPN2 on April 4 at 10 a.m. CT. For more coverage, turn your browser to SEC Gymnastics Championship Central under the schedule tab.
