Complete SEC Schedules
BIRMINGHAM – The Southeastern Conference has announced its 14-team conference schedules for three sports on Wednesday, including Auburn’s schedules for volleyball, soccer and gymnastics for the 2012-13 season.
Missouri and Texas A&M enter the SEC on July 1, giving the SEC 14 teams in soccer, 13 in volleyball and eight in gymnastics. Vanderbilt does not compete in volleyball while Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU and Missouri field gymnastics squads.
The 2012-13 schedule is not based on any other previous or future scheduling formats. The SEC Athletics Directors are currently formulating scheduling principles for the 2013-14 season and beyond.
In soccer, Auburn will host Missouri on September 14, while traveling to face Texas A&M the following week on September 23. Auburn soccer is 0-2-0 all-time against Missouri after completing a home-and-home series from 2008-09. The Tigers have never faced Texas A&M.
Volleyball will also make a trip to College Station to face the Aggies on September 16, but will welcome Missouri to The Plains on October 21. Auburn volleyball has faced Missouri once, a win in 1996. The Tigers are 0-2 against Texas A&M with a pair of losses coming in 1996 and 2007.
In the sports of volleyball and soccer, Missouri will participate in the Eastern Division and Texas A&M in the Western Division.
Auburn will face Missouri for the 23rd time in program history in gymnastics in 2013, but the first time as league mates when the program visits Columbia on February 22.
