AUBURN - For the second straight week, the Auburn gymnastics team is ranked No. 17 in the latest edition of the GymInfo Collegiate Gymnastics poll, the organization released Sunday.

Auburn (3-6, 2-4 SEC) is ranked No. 17 with a 195.675 Regional Qualifying Score (RQS). The Tigers most recent road score of 195.525 puts the Tigers ahead of No. 18 Kentucky as the Tigers now rank fifth in the SEC in RQS. Additionally, Auburn is ranked third in the central region behind Alabama and LSU.

"The coaches and gymnasts alike are all disappointed that we didn't do better last weekend at Ohio St.," said head coach Jeff Thompson. "Had we done our job and gone 196-plus it would've helped us a lot more in the rankings, but we go 194.725 and it didn't help us move as much as we needed it to. We still have a lot of room to grow."

Junior Rachel Inniss is Auburn's highest-ranked gymnast as she is No. 15 in the country on beam with a 9.865 average, while sophomore Allyson Sandusky is the other Auburn gymnast ranked in the top 30 at No. 27 on bars (9.844).

Senior Krissy Voss ranks 37th in the all-around competition with a 39.055 average, while four Tiger beam competitors are ranked in the top 100. Inniss leads the way, and is followed by Sandusky (35th, 9.835), sophomore Kylie Shields (45th, 9.820), and Voss (84th, 9.780).

In event-by-event rankings, Auburn is 11th on beam (48.995), 12th on bars (49.045), 18th on vault (49.030) and 28th on floor (48.860).

With the home portion of Auburn's season now completed, the Tigers hosted five of the top six teams in the nation, as Alabama tops the poll (197.155), followed by Oklahoma (196.920), UCLA, (196.900), Georgia (196.900) and Florida (196.685). Arkansas comes in at No. 6 with a 196.510 RQS.

Auburn returns to action Saturday, March 20, as the Tigers will take part in their first four-way meet of the season, traveling to College Park, Md. The Tigers will face No. 33 Maryland, No. 56 George Washington, and No. 62 Yale. The meet is slated to begin at 3 p.m. CT from Comcast Arena, while live stats can be accessed via AuburnTigers.com.
